Dying song 2/27/2005 10:00:30 PM Link | | Add comment  Today Devin was playing "tunes" on the harmonica. First he played something that was upbeat and festive. "That's the "wedding song" he said.
Next he played a slow haunting tune. Savi was listening and thought that it sounded quite sad. Devin quit playing and announced "That's the dying song. I played it for Walter."
Savi came upstairs to get me. Devin heard me slip downstairs and told me to come sit with him. He said he wanted to play "the dying song" for me so we could remember walter. He wanted me to listen, savi to sing "we miss you Walter, we love you Walter." he played a few bars - "I miss you Walter."
Tears came to my eyes and Devin said to me. "You have water in your eyes. Are you sad?"
